This image was taken in Detroit. We were driving along the road, I saw this building and I knew I just had to photograph it. It just so happened to be the perfect photo, with the gloomy day behind the building and the pop of colors on the side of the building. This reminds me of someone I used to know, they were the color in a world full of darkness and anger. That's where the name comes from. The person was always so joyful and happy. The Broadway

This image was taken in my front yard. These flowers grow everywhere all over our 2 acre lot. The flowers are often missed by those who don't take their time to appreciate them. That's why I decided to make them pop in this photo, so they have some form of recognition. No day shall erase you from the memory of time.Artist Statement:
This is an older image, however I wanted to emphasize the flag in this photo to add more meaning. As for the title, this was a quote from inside of the 9/11 memorial,we should never forget this moment in time. |
